Indian constitution is one of the greatest constitutions of the world, and it has fundamental duties. At the time of the adoption of the constitution, it was not a constitutional law, but during the 42nd constitutional amendment, in 1976, it became a law, and, that’s why part-iv-A was added for the first time.

·         To develop the scientific temper, humanism, and the spirit of inquiry and reform.

·         To safeguard public property and to abjure violence; and

·         To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement.

For the first time in 1936, the constitution of the former U.S.S.R. adopted fundamental duties.
